We aim to connect resources and needs in a culture of good governance, christian stewardship and mentorship.
Communities of Hope are economic entities where areas of development are identified in collaboration with the community, to enhance the community’s ability to become self-sustainable. Areas of focus are:
- needs of children, especially Early Childhood Development;
- vegetable gardens/farming;
- skills- and life skills training;
- computer literacy;
- HIV awareness, -teaching and -training;
- job creation/entrepreneurship;
Our Communities of Hope centre around our full-time faith partners, already at work in these communities. Currently we partner in 5 communities – Lynnwood Ridge, Nellmapius, Mamelodi, Garankuwa and Bushbuck Ridge.
We believe that the people in these communities have talents, gifts and potential to make a difference where they live, taking ownership for themselves and their community and also over time take financial responsibility for our full-time faith partners. We only have to give them a fair chance to do just that!
Sustainability of projects is achieved in partnership with the business sector, working together towards the common goal.
